Garden Horror: Woman Held Hostage After Stranger Breaks In
A terrifying ordeal unfolded on Sunday 4 April 2021 when a woman in her garden faced a shocking home invasion. Around 6pm, a man appeared by her fence, claiming he’d been cycling and asked for a drink.
After she handed him a bottle of water, the suspect jumped the fence, forcing his way inside the property. He allegedly stole money and valuables, assaulted the woman, and restrained her before fleeing.
Victim Found Bound Days Later
Two days later, on Tuesday 6 April at about 7.30pm, friends and family raised the alarm after losing contact with the victim. Police rushed to the property located between Mill Lane and Cradducks Lane junctions and found her still restrained inside.
She was promptly taken to hospital and is now recovering from the incident.
