Tragic Crash Claims Young Life on Thanet Way
Kent Police are urgently appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a deadly collision on the A299 Thanet Way. The horrific smash on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 6:49pm killed a man in his 20s and left two others hurt.
What Happened on the A299?
A white Fiat Ducato lorry, heading from Saint Nicholas-at-Wade towards London, slammed into a stationary Iveco Daily road sweeper. Emergency crews, including South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service, rushed to the scene to deal with the chaos.
Casualties: One Dead, Two Injured
- The passenger in the lorry, a man in his 20s, died at the scene. His loved ones have been informed.
- The lorry driver, also a man in his 20s, suffered serious injuries and is currently in a stable condition in hospital.
- The road sweeper driver, a man in his 60s, was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.
