Double Murder Horror Shakes Portsmouth Estate
Armed cops stormed a £500,000 four-bedroom home in Portsmouth’s Anchorage Park after a shocking shooting left two dead. The tragedy unfolded just before 10am on Wednesday, September 14, on Holcot Lane.
Gunfire Heard by Neighbours
Witnesses told of terrifying gunshots ringing out. One neighbour, speaking anonymously, said the shooter, identified as former jewellery shop manager Christopher Stone-Houghton, may have turned the gun on himself and several family members linked to his partner, Ruth Stone-Houghton.
Paramedics from South Central Ambulance rushed to the scene after reports of multiple injuries. Police sealed off the property with a large cordon as specialist crime units launched a major murder investigation.
