Homophobic Knife Attack Shocks Bristol’s Redcliffe Area

Avon & Somerset Police are hunting three suspects after a brutal homophobic assault in Bristol’s Redcliffe district.

On Sunday, August 11, at around 10.15pm, two men were walking home along St Thomas Street when three men on bikes approached them. What started as verbal abuse quickly turned violent. The suspects hurled homophobic slurs before one punched a victim and then stabbed him in the chest with a knife.

Thankfully, the victim’s injury was minor and did not require hospital treatment.

Police Release Suspect Descriptions

Officers describe the attackers as white males:

  1. Slim male, late teens or early 20s, wearing an all-black tracksuit with a white stripe down the right arm.
  2. Slim male with light-coloured hair, dressed in black top and bottoms with white trainers.
  3. Large-built male with light hair, also wearing all-black clothing.

Detectives believe these men hold vital information about the attack and urge the public to come forward.
