Toilet Heist Baffles Herefordshire Community
In a bizarre crime that has left locals scratching their heads, around 35 portable toilets were stolen from the Ludlow Autograss Club in Pencombe, Herefordshire. Some of these toilets were even in use at the time. The stolen units belong to Three Counties Toilet Hire, with each toilet costing about £1,000 to replace.
Owner Stunned by Unusual Theft
Neil Griffiths, owner of Three Counties Toilet Hire, is stunned by the audacity of the thieves. “I’m slightly baffled by it,” he said. “Moving these heavy toilets, especially while some were still filled, would have taken multiple trips.”
Griffiths revealed that the loss goes beyond just the toilets. “It’s everything else we put inside them as well, like sanitising units… all that is gone,” he added, highlighting the full scope of the theft.
Disabled Toilets Also Swiped
Two specially designed portable toilets for disabled users were also stolen. These units are valued at around £1,500 each, adding to the company’s heavy losses.
West Mercia Police Probe Strange Crime
West Mercia Police have launched an investigation into this odd heist and are appealing for any information that could help catch the culprits behind the portable toilet robbery.
