10-Year-Old Boy Falls from Height in Brighton

A 10-year-old boy is fighting for life after falling from a height near Ovingdean, close to Brighton, at around 5pm last night.

Major Emergency Operation on Undercliff Walk

Paramedics and the Kent, Surrey & Sussex (KSS) Air Ambulance rushed to the scene on the undercliff walk between Ovingdean and Rottingdean. They worked swiftly to stabilise the boy before he was transferred by land ambulance, with Coastguard assistance, to the air ambulance.

Critical Condition at St George’s Hospital

The youngster was then airlifted to St George’s Hospital in London, where he remains in critical condition.

“Police responded to a report of a boy falling from height in Ovingdean, at about 5pm on Saturday September 24,” said a Sussex Police spokesman.

“The 10-year-old was found to have suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to St George’s hospital in London, where he remains in a critical condition. He is not local to the area and was visiting Brighton and Hove.”
