Thief Trapped After Dropping Stolen Cards in Drain!

A bungling burglar has been caught red-handed after dumping stolen credit cards down a drain in Folkestone.

Cards Tossed in Drain Spark Police Hunt

On Saturday 6 November, just after 1.45pm, Kent Police were tipped off about a man spotted chucking bank cards into a drain in Hawkinge. Officers quickly swooped in, recovered the discarded cards, and tracked down the rightful owner.

Gardening Job Turns Into Nightmare

The victim, living on Blenheim Drive, Folkestone, realised her purse had vanished earlier in the day. She suspects it went missing during gardening work at her home. Adding fuel to the fire, several of the stolen bank cards showed suspicious activity, raising red flags with police.

Burglar Nabbed and Bailed

The very next day, cops arrested a 35-year-old man with no fixed address. He faces multiple charges including burglary, fraud by false representation, possession of cannabis, and theft. He’s now out on bail until 3 December, as enquiries continue.
