Chaos on TUI Flight from Jamaica to Gatwick
Police are probing a reported disturbance onboard a TUI flight that touched down at London Gatwick early Monday morning.
Four Detained Over ‘Affray’ on Flight
The plane arrived from Montego Bay, Jamaica, at around 7am on March 18. Sussex Police were called after a public order offence involving fighting or threatening behaviour, legally termed an affray, unfolded in the skies.
Initially, four people were detained in connection with the incident. However, all have since been released pending further inquiries.
Police Seek Witnesses and Mobile Footage
Authorities want passengers who saw the disturbance or captured it on their phones to step forward. Any footage or information could be crucial to the ongoing investigation.
“Officers are investigating an incident on-board a flight from Montego Bay to London Gatwick Airport, which is being treated as affray. Four people were initially detained and have now been released while enquiries continue. We’re appealing for any witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to contact us,” said a Sussex Police spokesperson.
