Dark Web Child Abuse Site ‘Kidflix’ Busted – 63 UK Users ID’d, 30 Arrests Made!
Dark Web Horror: ‘Kidflix’ Taken Down
In a major takedown, a notorious Dark Web site called Kidflix – a sick platform hosting tens of thousands of child sexual abuse videos – has been shut down. The site, designed to mimic popular streaming platforms, let users pay in cryptocurrency or earn credits by uploading vile content to view even more horrific material.
More than 1,275 users worldwide were caught accessing or uploading this illegal content, in one of the darkest corners of the internet ever uncovered.
UK Users Snared in Cross-Border Sting
The National Crime Agency (NCA), working hand-in-hand with German police and Europol, traced 63 UK-based users linked to the site. Since February, intelligence was shared with 28 police forces nationwide, leading to 30 arrests so far as UK cops crack down on offenders and protect vulnerable children.
NCA Speaks Out on the Operation
“With thanks to our law enforcement partners in Germany and Europol, a dangerous site hosting tens of thousands of child sexual abuse videos has been taken down,” said NCA Senior Manager Neil Keeping.
“NCA intelligence officers worked quickly to identify UK users, enabling multiple arrests and crucial child safeguarding. This global-to-local response is vital to protect children and take down criminals who thrive on this vile content.”
Ongoing Battle Against Dark Web Crime
While Kidflix is offline, the investigation continues. The NCA and police forces are hunting remaining suspects and analysing seized cryptocurrency transactions for further evidence. They stressed the importance of international teamwork, with Europol and German authorities playing key roles.
The NCA vows to keep fighting child sexual abuse material on the Dark Web with relentless effort.
