Van Loaded with 170 Amazon Parcels Stolen in Broad Daylight!

Delivery Van Nabbed with Keys Left Inside

Sussex Police have issued a stark warning to delivery drivers after a brazen theft in St Leonards. A white Ford Transit van, packed with 170 Amazon parcels, was snatched on Friday, November 29 – all because the driver left the keys in the ignition and the engine running.

The van was parked on Bexleigh Avenue at around 12:50pm when the thief struck. Police were quickly alerted and found the vehicle a short time later on Third Avenue. But disaster struck: most of the parcels inside the van had vanished.

Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

Now, Sussex Police are hunting for anyone who saw the theft or caught it on camera.

“If you witnessed the theft or have any footage, please come forward,” urged the police.

Anyone with information is asked to report it online or call 101, quoting reference serial 650 of 29/11.

Delivery drivers, take note: never leave your van running and unattended. This crime could happen anywhere, any time.
