Fake cops handcuff victim and steal cash in chilling West London raids

Masked men pose as police to pull off daring robbery

The first shocking incident happened on 6 January at 6.15pm in West Hill, SW15. Three men knocked on a door, claiming to be officers executing a warrant. Once inside, they handcuffed the resident and stole cash before leaving the victim tied up.

Second attempt foiled by vigilant neighbours

Just two days later, on 8 January at 10am, two masked men dressed in black tried to break into a Richmond home on Ennerdale Road. When neighbours confronted them, the suspects again claimed to be police. Failing to get inside, they fled towards Kew Village.

Police appeal for witnesses to track down crooks

“We believe these attacks are linked,” said Detective Constable Arron Hadaway. “If you have any info on these suspects or witnessed anything, please come forward. If you were approached by men claiming to be officers, don’t hesitate to tell us.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting Cad 5618/6JAN.
