Armoured Truck Used in Massive Modern Slavery Raid at Enfield Farm

Detectives launched a dramatic large-scale swoop on a Crews Hill farm in Enfield on Wednesday, 8 July, targeting suspected modern slavery offenders. Police used an armoured truck to smash through tough security at the semi-industrial site.

Three Men Arrested, Eleven Adults Freed

Three men were arrested on suspicion of modern slavery and taken to a north London police station where they remain in custody. Officers found 11 adults inside the premises who are now receiving medical care and support at a nearby reception centre.

The operation involved over 150 personnel, including 100 Met officers, HM Revenue and Customs, London Fire Brigade, Immigration, Enfield Council, the Environment Agency, and the National Food Crime Unit. So far, around £75,000 in cash has been seized.
