Man Set on Fire Outside West London Mosque in Shocking Attack

At around 8pm, a man was doused in a liquid believed to be petrol and set alight after leaving the West London Islamic Centre. The suspect first engaged the victim in conversation for five minutes before igniting him and calmly walking away.

Victim Suffers Severe Burns

The victim was rushed to hospital with serious burns to his face and arms. Emergency teams are treating his injuries.

Police Launch Urgent Hunt for Suspect

Detective Sergeant Steven Constable said: “This is an incredibly shocking incident for the community and we are conducting a full investigation. Officers have been reassuring locals with daily patrols around the mosque.”

He added the West London Islamic Centre is actively aiding inquiries. “We need help identifying the man in the released image. If you recognise him, contact police or remain anonymous via Crimestoppers. Witnesses who have not spoken to us should come forward immediately.”
