Police are confident the man shot dead in West Kensington is 21-year-old Janayo Lucima. His family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.

Gunshot Horror on Comeragh Road

Officers were called to a disturbance at a home on Comeragh Road, W14, at 10.17pm on Monday, April 1. The London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene and found Janayo with a gunshot wound.

Despite medics’ efforts, he tragically died at the scene at 10.54pm. A post-mortem is scheduled for April 3.

No arrests have been made yet. The crime scene remains but roads have reopened.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie is leading the investigation and issued a stern call for help.

“This horrific incident happened during a busy evening when many people were going out or coming home. We need anyone who was in the area between 9.40pm and 10.30pm to come forward.

“Did you see groups of males on foot or bikes? Hear shouting? Witness any fight or suspicious behaviour? Got dashcam footage? Please speak to officers or contact us online or on 101.”

“If you have any information or concerns, approach officers patrolling the area or contact your neighbourhood police team.”
