Police hunt VW Golf over deadly shooting in SW12
Detectives have released an image of a grey Volkswagen Golf spotted near the scene of a fatal shooting in Bedford Hill. They’re desperate to hear from anyone with footage or information about the car.
Detective urges witnesses to come forward
Detective Chief Inspector Katherine Goodwin, leading the case, pleaded: “I implore anyone who saw this vehicle in the area around the time of the incident to contact us. No matter how insignificant your information may seem, it could be vital.”
She revealed, “Matthias was shot while standing at his front door. Friends and passers-by rushed to help as the killers fled in a VW Golf matching the one pictured. His family are facing an unimaginable ordeal—think of their grief and please do the right thing.”

Tragic shooting in Bedford Hill
Police were alerted at 10:50pm on Thursday, 17 June, after reports of a man suffering gunshot injuries. 27-year-old Matthias was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead at 11:36pm despite emergency efforts.
Officers are still investigating. No arrests have been made so far.
