Two Men Fatally Shot in Brixton Shooting Spree
Tragedy struck Brixton this evening as two men were shot dead on Railton Road. Residents reported hearing a hail of 12 gunshots just before 8pm, sparking a massive police response.
Gunfire Erupts Between Moped and Car
Witnesses say the shooting broke out between a pair riding a moped and occupants of a car. The violence ended with the car crashing at the scene, adding to the chaos.
“Shots were heard, and a policewoman confirmed it was a shooting. Locals counted 12 shots fired,” said local Sebastian Morrison. “There was an exchange of fire between people on a moped and a car. The car crashed at the scene.”
Police and Emergency Services Respond
The Metropolitan Police were called shortly before 8pm on Sunday, October 30. Firearms officers, the 1 Ambulance Service, and the London Air Ambulance rushed to the scene. Both men were found injured but sadly died at the scene despite emergency efforts.
One victim has been named as drill rapper PREM. Authorities are awaiting formal identification and have yet to notify next of kin.
Investigation Underway, Local Area on Lockdown
Police have set up a large cordon around Railton Road. Several roads remain closed, and officers are urging anyone with information to come forward.
