Cars, Vans and Coach Broken Into – Valuables Stolen
Break-ins hit everything from cars to a van and even a coach. In one case, a car window was smashed, with a bag containing bank cards and cash stolen. Tools vanished from a van, while keys and cash were taken from a coach. Meanwhile in Lyminge, a camera was reported stolen from another vehicle.
Police Warn Residents to Lock Up and Stay Alert
Sergeant Sheena Maclean-Bell from Folkestone’s Community Safety Unit said: “We believe these are opportunistic thieves who will break into any car and snatch whatever they can find. This could be loose change or pricey tools. We urge everyone to be vigilant, lock cars, and avoid leaving valuables on display.”
“We’re investigating the recent spike in these crimes and urge residents to report anything suspicious to Kent Police immediately. Installing CCTV can also be a huge help in catching the culprits.”
