Serious Crash Near Cowfold: Police Hunt Witnesses and Dash-Cam Footage
Emergency services rushed to the A272 near Cowfold at 8.55am on Tuesday, 22 September, after a white van smashed into a sewerage lorry. The van driver, a 22-year-old man, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries and remains in a serious but stable condition. The lorry driver suffered minor injuries and was also taken to hospital.
Police Seek Witnesses From Cowfold to Buckbarn
Officers want to hear from anyone driving between Cowfold and Buckbarn between 8.40am and 8.50am who may have seen the lorry or the incident unfold. Dash-cam footage could prove vital in piecing together what happened.

“We are investigating the circumstances of this collision and are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or may have dash-cam footage of either of the vehicles,” said Sgt Chris Ambrose.
