Fareham Cops Raid Flat in Major Drug Bust
Fareham’s Neighbourhood Policing Team struck hard yesterday, raiding a High Street flat and seizing suspected Class A and B drugs along with cash. The haul is now set for analysis as part of a crackdown on local drug supply.
Two Arrested But Freed—Investigation Ongoing
A 24-year-old man from Fareham and a 19-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. Both have since been released without charge but remain under investigation as officers dig deeper.
Residents Urged to Spot the Signs
The police launched the raid after residents flagged up anti-social behaviour in the town centre. Officers want locals to stay vigilant for telltale signs of drug crime like:
- Sudden surges in visitors to a flat, with people staying only briefly
- Quick hand-offs between small groups near a property
- Residents leaving and returning multiple times daily
- Groups loitering and frequently using mobile phones
- Unfamiliar or hire cars parked outside, driven by unusual drivers
