Firefighters Race Against Time

Firefighters swooped in to save a bungalow in Hayes from being gutted by flames on Thursday night, 4th November.

The London Fire Brigade were called to Harold Avenue at 10.59pm after a firework set a tree alight, which then spread to the roof.

Firework Blamed for Blaze

Multiple 999 calls flooded in reporting the fire, which started when a firework was fired from the road into the tree.

Investigation Underway

The cause of the fire is now being investigated by the London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.

Witnesses report the firework sparked the dangerous blaze. Both the Met Police and LFB have been contacted for comment. More updates to follow.
