Man Shot Dead in Lambeth: Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detectives are desperate for information after a man was fatally shot in Lambeth in the early hours of Saturday, 11 May.

Victim Dropped at Hospital Before Dying

Police were called around 2:30am when medical staff at St Thomas’ Hospital were alerted to a gunshot victim who had been dropped off in a private car.

Despite frantic efforts, 26-year-old Jazmel Dashourn Patterson-Low from Lambeth died shortly after 3am. His family is being supported by trained officers.

Fatal Shooting on Westbury Estate

Jazmel was shot at about 2:25am on the Westbury Estate in St Rule Street, SW8. A post-mortem confirmed he died from a single gunshot wound.

Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are leading the murder probe. No arrests have been made yet.

The car used to drop Jazmel at the hospital has been recovered and is key to the ongoing investigation.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Inspector Martin Thorpe said: “Around 40 people were gathered near St Rule Street on Friday night and into Saturday morning. A dispute quickly escalated around 2am, leading to gunfire.”

“Thanks to those who have come forward, CCTV footage, and forensic work, we have several leads we’re chasing 24/7.”

“I’m sure others know what happened or who fired those shots. If that’s you, please step up and tell us.”

“If you want to stay anonymous, contact the charity Crimestoppers. Some have already helped, and I thank them.”

Detective Chief Superintendent Seb Adjei-Addoh added: “This brutal killing has shocked Lambeth. We’re working closely with the community to protect and support everyone.”

“Jazmel’s family deserve answers. Our team, including Met specialists, is committed to bringing his killer to justice and keeping the streets safe.”

“But we need more help. If you know who fired the shot, speak up now.”
