Five Nabbed After Designer Theft Sting at York Shopping Spot

Security staff at the York Designer Outlet raised the alarm on Saturday lunchtime after spotting a group acting suspiciously.

Police Find £3,000 Worth of Stolen Goods in Suspect’s Car

North Yorkshire Police swooped at 12.45pm and tracked down a black Skoda Superb carrying five people — two men, two women, and a teenage boy.

A search of the vehicle revealed a haul of suspected stolen items, including pricey trainers valued at around £1,000 and clothing worth another £2,000.

All Arrested and Now Released on Bail

All five were arrested on suspicion of theft, handling stolen goods, and being equipped for theft. They have since been released on bail as police continue their investigations. The car was also seized as part of the probe.
