Lockdown Drama at Bromley School as 13-Year-Old Girl Arrested
A 13-year-old girl has been arrested after a security scare sparked a lockdown at Haberdashers’ Knights Academy in Bromley on Friday afternoon.
Intruders Spark Lockdown at Secondary School
Police were called to the secondary school on Launcelot Road at 1:06pm after three girls from a nearby school trespassed on the academy grounds. Although the trespassers did not enter any buildings, staff locked down the school as a safety precaution.
Police Arrest Young Girl Over Disturbance
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed:
“A 13-year-old girl is in london/a-murder-investigation-was-launched-on-tuesday-8-june-after-the-victim-of-the-stabbing-at-barge-walk-se10-died-from-his-injuries-in-hospital/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">police custody on suspicion of common assault following a disturbance at a school in Launcelot Road, Bromley at 1:06pm on May 16. No one was injured during the incident.”
Officers spoke to all three girls, but only one arrest was made. No weapons were found and the other two girls were released with no charges. Police confirmed no further action will be taken against them.

Haberdashers’ Knights Academy quickly sent a letter to parents, stressing swift action and reassuring families:
“Our staff acted fast and followed safeguarding procedures to ensure everyone’s safety. The police arrived promptly and the lockdown was a precautionary measure.”
