A suspected drug dealer was caught red-handed loitering near a known drug den on Maidstone Road at around 5.40pm on Wednesday, 12 October 2022.
Teen Tries to Flee Police
The 17-year-old boy from Wellingborough spotted the officer and made a run for it. But he didn’t get far before being clipped and detained under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Hefty Haul Found in Police Search
Taken to Medway Police Station, the youth was searched, revealing 60 wraps of heroin, cash, and two mobile phones – key tools of the trade.
Released but Under Investigation
The teenager has now been released pending further enquiries as police continue their probe into the local drug scene.
