High-Speed BMW Chase Ends in Smash Near Gravesend
Police are hunting for witnesses and dashcam footage after a heart-stopping car chase ended in a crash near Gravesend.
BMW Flees Police at 100mph
On Saturday, 11 October 2025, officers tried to pull over a silver BMW 320D on Bligh Way, Rochester. Instead of stopping, the driver slammed the pedal to the metal, tearing along Watling Street and onto the A2 motorway heading towards London.
The speeding BMW hit a terrifying 100mph between the Medway and Shorne exits, dodging police in a reckless bid to escape.
Smash Close to Shorne Country Park
The silver BMW’s wild ride ended at around 2:45pm when it crashed into a red BMW saloon near the Shorne Country Park exit.
Two passengers in the red BMW – a man and a child – suffered minor injuries. Both were rushed to hospital as a precaution but are expected to recover.
Police found the silver BMW abandoned and empty. A thorough search failed to find any suspects at the scene.
18-Year-Old Arrested as Police Probe Continues
On 14 October, police arrested an 18-year-old man from Gravesend on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop.
He has since been bailed while inquiries ramp up.
