Crash Chaos on A259: Police Hunt Witnesses
Police are urgently seeking witnesses after a two-car smash on the A259 in Littlehampton. The crash happened around 11am on Friday, 31 March, between Wick Roundabout and Bridge Road Roundabout. The vehicles involved were a red Nissan Micra and a black Nissan Note.
Emergency Rush to Scene
Fire, ambulance, and police rushed to help. The Nissan Note’s driver, an 80-year-old woman from Worthing, was seriously hurt but her injuries are not life-threatening. The Micra driver, a 45-year-old woman from Horley, Surrey, escaped with minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Serious Charges After Crash
The Micra driver was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and drug-driving. She has been released on bail until 30 June pending further investigation.
