Disturbing Incident at Family-Filled Park

The peaceful afternoon at Brenchley Gardens near Station Road took a dark turn around 2pm on Tuesday, 1 June 2021. A man sitting on a bench reportedly committed an indecent act in full view of families enjoying the park.

Police Seek Witnesses to Disturbing Behaviour

Sergeant Andrew Ferguson urged anyone who saw the suspicious activity to come forward. “We understand there were a number of families in the park at the time and we would like to speak to anybody who witnessed a man acting suspiciously or indecently,” he said.

Suspect Arrested and Released Pending Investigation

A local man in his 70s was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure. He has since been released while police continue their inquiries.
