Man Found Dead in Camden Home After Welfare Check

A chilling discovery on Betterton Street, Camden, as police found a man dead following a welfare check at around 5pm on January 10.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

Officers were called to the property at 4.22pm after concerns were raised about the occupant’s safety. The Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed entry was forced, leading to the grim find.

“Police were called to an address in Betterton Street WC2 at 4.22pm on January 10 following concerns for the welfare of an occupant. Officers forced entry and a man was found deceased.”

Gas Leak Sparks Safety Response

Alongside police, the London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service arrived after a suspected argon gas leak was detected inside the property. Firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, ventilated the area and made it safe.
