Masked Muggers Swipe Scooter from Food Delivery Driver in Southampton
A food delivery driver was robbed at knifepoint in the early hours of Thursday, May 2, in Gilpin Close, Southampton. Two masked men struck as he delivered an order between 1.45am and 2am.
Robbers Threaten Driver with Knife and Baseball Bat
One attacker wielded a knife, the other a baseball bat. They demanded the driver hand over cash and keys to his scooter—he complied. The culprits fled the scene riding the stolen white Honda scooter, registration HX65HBU.
Driver Unhurt, Police Hunt Two Six-Foot Tall Suspects
The 34-year-old delivery man escaped unscathed. Police describe the suspects as two men, both about six feet tall and aged between 20 and 25. One is white, the other black, and both wore balaclavas during the robbery.
Police Call for Witnesses and Scooter Sightings
Detective Constable Shaun Docker urged the public: “We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened. If you’ve seen the white scooter or know where it might be, get in touch. Someone out there will know who’s responsible.”
