Gunfire Erupts in Walsh Crescent
Chaos hit Croydon’s Walsh Crescent on Thursday evening as shots rang out, leaving a man in his 30s injured. The Metropolitan Police rushed to the scene at 7:26pm on 21 May after reports of a firearm discharge.
Specialist crime units swooped on the area seconds later. Officers found the victim with gunshot wounds but confirmed his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
“The victim’s injuries have not been deemed to be life-threatening or life-changing,” said a Met spokesperson.
Crime Scene Locked Down, Hunt for Shooter on
Police have sealed off Walsh Crescent, launching forensic examinations and going door-to-door as part of their ongoing inquiry. So far, there have been no arrests.
Witnesses Urgently Needed
The Met is calling on anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or mobile footage from the area to step forward. Residents and passersby with information are urged to contact police immediately.
“Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting 8108/21May,” the spokesperson added.
