Man Stabbed After Attacking Girl Wearing Clown Mask in Portsmouth
A man has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Portsmouth following an attack on a 9-year-old girl wearing a clown mask.
Shocking Halloween Incident in Somers Town
The violent incident took place just after 8pm in the Somers Town area. The young girl and her family were returning from a local Halloween party held at the community centre’s adventure playground.
A nearby resident, who wished to remain anonymous, described the chaos. “She lived on the 13th floor of Edgbaston House on Sedgley Close. I heard the woman screaming the little girl’s name after the man lashed out at her. The mum ran off with her children and came back with two other men who then stabbed the attacker.”
Emergency Response and Police Cordons
Paramedics arrived swiftly and treated the stabbed man in the garden area of the tower block. Police secured the scene with cordon tape as residents watched anxiously. The medics worked for over an hour before the man was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital for emergency treatment.
Community Left Reeling
The terrifying attack has left locals on edge, particularly given the victim was a young child in costume during a festive event. Police are continuing their investigation and urge anyone with information to come forward.
