Portsmouth Police hunt man linked to string of supermarket robberies stealing booze and cleaning products.
Gin Thief Threatens Staff with Syringe
Police want to ID this man after a spate of robberies at Portsmouth supermarkets on March 6 and 7. On three separate occasions, he stormed into shops and nicked bottles of gin.
When staff tried to stop him, he threatened them with a needle or syringe. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
Timeline of The Robberies
- 7pm, March 6 – Stole several bottles of Gordon’s gin from Morrison’s, Flathouse Road.
- 9.30am, March 7 – Took several bottles of vodka from the same Morrison’s store.
- Between 12.30pm and 1pm, March 7 – Swiped washing-up tablets from Tesco Express on Kingston Road.
