Armed robber targets Dartford Co-op in late-night heist

The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate is hunting a man who threatened staff at a Dartford convenience store with what looked like a handgun before making off with cash and cigarettes.

Just after 10pm on Thursday 17 May, police were called to the Co-op on Colney Road following reports that a man had intimidated staff with a gun-style weapon. The thief then fled on foot, escaping with a haul of cigarettes and money.

Suspect on the run

The suspect is described as around 6ft tall, of medium build, and clad in dark clothing. Fortunately, no one was injured during the scare.

Police hunt witnesses
