Far-Right Terror Threats Shake London: Black and Trans Women Targeted
Neo-Nazi Group Sends Chilling Death Threats
The Metropolitan Police have launched a serious probe after far-right extremists delivered terrifying death threats by hand to Black and trans women in London.
Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu, a prominent Black activist, academic, and lawyer, alongside trans activist and TV presenter India Willoughby, received bone-chilling letters on Monday, 20 February, from the banned neo-Nazi group National Action.
Graphic Letters Detail ‘Execution’ Plans
The sick letters spelled out in horrific detail how the fascist cell intends to murder the two women because of their race and gender. National Action, proscribed as a terrorist organisation in 2016, is notorious for its vitriolic racist, anti-Semitic, and homophobic agenda. Despite criminal penalties, including up to 10 years in jail, the group still operates covertly across the UK.
The Met’s Counter Terrorism Command is leading the investigation and treating the threats with utmost seriousness.
Activists Speak Out: ‘It’s Like a Letter From a Horror Movie’
Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu shared on Twitter: “I have received a serious death threat from National Action London threatening to kill me and my family. They even named my husband and gave our address. They don’t call it murder — they call it execution. The letter was hand-delivered to my front door.”
She revealed the vile letter calls her a “dreg of multicultural society” and slanders her as a “constant troublemaker” who “makes a living by slandering ethnic white Europeans and our culture.”
“We have placed you on our kill list,” the letter warns. “You, your children, and your husband must pay the price.”
India Willoughby responded: “My accountant received a threatening letter today, no stamp, hand-delivered, with graphic descriptions of planned murder — all because I am transgender. The police have the letter. This is what the British press, the gender-critical movement, and the government have stirred up.”
“If anything happens to me, I hold the GCs, their celebrity supporters, the government, and right-wing media responsible.”
Police Appeal for Information
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “We are aware of letters sent to two people containing vile racist and transphobic language, as well as threats, said to be from ‘National Action London Cell.’ We are taking this matter very seriously. An investigation is underway.”
Officers have contacted the victims to gather statements and offer full support. No arrests have been made yet.
Anyone who receives a similar letter or has information on the senders is urged to call 0800 789 321 immediately.
