Over 120 Arrests and £300k Cash Seized in Massive West London Crime Crackdown

Police smashed a major crime ring in west London, making 124 arrests and confiscating £300,000 in cash during a ruthless three-day operation targeting drug dealers and violent criminals.

Joint Forces Hit Drug Supply and Violence Hard

From June 23 to 25, the Met’s West Area Command Unit teamed up with British Transport Police, Thames Valley, Surrey, and Hertfordshire officers to sweep up criminals in Hillingdon, Hounslow, and Ealing. Reinforcements came from the Met’s North West and South West Command Units, the Violent Crime Taskforce, and the Dogs Unit.

The operation cranked up high-profile patrols in Ealing, used ANPR stop sites to catch suspicious vehicles, and executed precision raids mainly in Hayes and Northolt.

Staggering Results: Guns, Drugs, and Major Cash Haul

  • 124 arrests ranging from 17 to 62 years old for offences including drug supply, aggravated burglary, recall to prison, and conspiracy to murder
  • Three weapons seized, including a deadly gas-powered firearm
  • About £300,000 in cash recovered
  • Large quantities of Class A and B drugs taken off the streets

Police Praise Massive Success

“This incredibly successful collaboration has resulted in the arrests of 124 high harm and prolific offenders,” said Detective Inspector Elly Maggs, who led the sweep. “We’ve taken a huge amount of drugs, cash, and lethal weapons off our streets. The West Area Drugs Focus Desk supported every drug charge, with 25 offenders remanded.

“We will keep breaking down intelligence barriers and hunt those exploiting our transport networks to fuel violent crime and drug dealing. This operation has delivered a clear blow to organised crime and helped keep our communities safe.”

Chief Superintendent Peter Gardner added: “This joint effort will significantly reduce violence and the exploitation of young people for drug dealing. I want to thank our colleagues from across the Met, British Transport Police, Hertfordshire, Surrey, and Thames Valley Police for their vital support.”
