Woman Found Dead in Collyer Avenue
Police have launched a murder investigation after a 52-year-old woman was found dead inside a house in Bognor Regis. Officers were called to the property on Collyer Avenue at 3.51pm on Saturday, April 11, after concerns were raised that the woman hadn’t been seen or heard from for several days.
Man Arrested on Isle of Wight
A 47-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of murder early Sunday morning (April 12) on the Isle of Wight, with the help of Hampshire police. A post-mortem is set for Sunday to determine the exact cause of death.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Alex Geldart, leading the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, said: “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this tragic time. They are being supported by our family liaison officers.”
He added: “We want to know when the victim was last seen and if anyone saw visitors at the house. We believe this incident is contained, and we are not seeking anyone else.”
