Two pensioners in their 80s had their bank cards stolen in bold daylight heists at a Waitrose store on the High Street. Both incidents happened on Thursday, June 23, 2022, between 10:30 a.m. and 11:50 a.m.

In one alarming case, a man was pushed over on an escalator but luckily escaped injury. Later, he found out his bank card had been stolen and used to withdraw a startling £2,000.

Woman Distracted at Parking Meter, Loses Hundreds

The other victim, an elderly woman, was targeted while paying at a parking meter. A man distracted her and snatched her cards, which were then used to withdraw hundreds of pounds.
