12 Jailed After Massive London Firearms and Drugs Raids
Police have arrested 12 people across north London following a two-year probe into illegal guns, ammo, and controlled drugs. Officers from Haringey and Enfield, backed by specialist firearms teams, smashed their way into 16 addresses to execute the raids.
Key Arrests in Edmonton and Beyond
In Edmonton, cops nabbed three suspects linked to a gang behind a non-fatal April shooting. Meanwhile, seven homes in Brent and Hertfordshire were raided by Specialist Crime Command officers investigating gang members tied to violent aggravated burglaries. The hunt for more offenders is still on.
South London Crackdown Nets Firearms and Drug Suspects
Detectives in south London hit four warrants, arresting three men accused of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and conspiracy to supply class A drugs. The police are planning more raids and arrests across the capital as part of a major campaign to tackle violent crime and weapons.
Police Vow to Keep London Safe
Detective Superintendent Nick Blackburn said: “It was a hectic morning for Met officers across London, executing warrants and making arrests in our ongoing fight to reduce violent crime.
“In this week alone, six suspected firearms and countless knives have been seized, with over 20 arrests already made.
“We take violent crime extremely seriously. We’re making real headway removing dangerous weapons from those who mean harm.
“But there’s still plenty to do. London remains one of the safest global cities, and we will continue manhunts and investigations to catch high-risk offenders.”
