Man assaulted after refusing to hand over cash

Between 11pm and midnight on Saturday, 19 November 2022, a man in his 20s was walking down Kingsmead Road, away from Northgate, when two attackers confronted him. They demanded money. When he refused, they savagely knocked him to the ground and repeatedly kicked and stamped on him. The victim’s pockets were searched, but nothing was stolen.

Police release e-fits of suspects

Officers have issued computer-generated images of two men wanted in connection with the attempted robbery. Both are described as slim white males, about 6 feet tall, wearing jeans, jumpers, and coats. One has blonde hair, the other brunette.

Victim suffers serious injuries

The victim sustained serious facial injuries that required hospital treatment following the brutal attack.

Help police catch these thugs

Police urge anyone who recognises either man in the e-fits or who has private CCTV or dashcam footage from the area on that night to come forward.
