Early Morning Car Theft Spree in Ashford Foiled by Police

At around 3am on Thursday 26 May 2022, Ashford police swooped after reports of two men breaking into multiple vehicles in Bensted.

Suspects Flee But Are Quickly Caught

The pair were disturbed during their rampage and fled the scene. Officers soon spotted and detained two men matching the description – a 36-year-old and a 33-year-old, both from Ashford.

They were held on suspicion of interfering with motor vehicles, but have now been released on bail pending further investigations.

Stolen Loot Recovered – Owners Urged to Come Forward

Police later found several valuable items, including:

  • A gold watch
  • A gold ring with an emerald stone
  • A gold ring with a pearl stone
  • A plain ring

Officers have released photos of the recovered valuables in the hope their rightful owners will get in touch.
