Man Attacked in Early Morning Horror
A man in his twenties was viciously assaulted in or near Avebury Avenue, Tonbridge, in the early hours of Friday, August 19, 2022. Kent Police rushed to the scene at 12:55 a.m., with ambulance crews also responding promptly.
Five Arrested Amid Murder Probe
Police made swift moves. A teen caught soon after was released without charge. But the story grew darker Sunday morning, August 21, when five more suspects were arrested by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.
- A 17-year-old boy from Coulsdon
- A 15-year-old girl from Tonbridge
- Two 16-year-old boys from Tonbridge
- A 47-year-old woman from Coulsdon, held on suspicion of assisting an offender
All remain in custody as investigations heat up.
Police Plead for Witnesses
“We thank those who have come forward with information and continue to appeal for witnesses,” said Detective Inspector Lee Neiles. “It is critical that we speak with anyone who may have heard or seen anything suspicious around midnight.”
The attack happened close to Tonbridge Park and several homes. Police urge anyone with info to step forward immediately.
