Leeds Police Hunt Flashers in Roundhay Park
Leeds District Police are cracking down on a spate of indecent exposure cases rocking Roundhay Park. They urge anyone who spots suspicious behaviour to dial 999 immediately and report it.
Undercover Cops and Electric Bikes Patrol the Park
The Leeds District Safeguarding team and North East Leeds Neighbourhood Policing Team are probing recent reports of flasher attacks targeting women walking in the park. Detectives have boots on the ground, patrolling in plain clothes to catch the culprits red-handed.
Visible officers on electric bikes are also cruising the park to cover more ground fast. Drones have been deployed too, keeping a vigilant eye from above.
Serious About Safety, No Injuries Reported
No one has been physically hurt in the incidents so far, but police are taking the offences seriously. They are working closely with residents and experts to understand offender patterns and keep everyone safe.
Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lambert said:
“We know residents are worried about these incidents. We have extensive enquiries ongoing to identify suspects. Officers patrol the park in plain clothes and visibly, at any time. Drones are also in use.”
“While no injuries have been reported, we take these offences very seriously. Reducing attacks on women is a top priority for West Yorkshire Police.”
“If you’re a victim, call 999 immediately so we can respond fast and increase chances of arrest. Using the What3Words app to share your exact location really helps.”
