Teen Stabbed in Brutal West Ham Attack – Police Hunt Swords-Wielding Gang

Police are urgently appealing for witnesses after a 17-year-old boy was slashed in a terrifying assault in West Ham.

Teen Chased and Slashed After College

Just before 6pm on Tuesday, 17 April, cops were called to Star Lane Park following reports of a fight. The victim, walking home with friends after college, spotted a group of hooded males rushing towards him – one brandishing a sword.

His friends fled, but the lad was chased into Birch Close, where he slipped and fell. The gang caught up, surrounded him, and brutally slashed his right arm as he tried to fight back.

Four Suspects Flee by Train

The attackers then fled, boarding a train at Star Lane DLR. The victim was rushed to an East London hospital, treated with several stitches, and later discharged.

Descriptions of the Suspects

  • Suspect 1: Asian man in black hat, blue padded jacket over green hoodie, green tracksuit trousers, brown shoes.
  • Suspect 2: Black teenager, black jacket with ‘Crosshatch’ on left arm, black trousers, black shoes.
  • Suspect 3: White man, short brown beard, green hooded jacket over dark blue hoodie, blue jeans, white trainers.
  • Suspect 4: Black man with beard, dark blue jacket over grey hoodie, dark blue trousers, white trainers.

Police Plea: Help Find the Attackers

“This is a nasty unprovoked attack on a teenager walking home from college. We urge anyone who saw what happened to come forward,” said Detective Constable Georgina Hebron, Newham Borough.
