Kent Police are hunting a vandal targeting postboxes across Dartford. They’ve launched an investigation after a string of criminal damage incidents left several Royal Mail boxes daubed in paint.

The vandalism spree stretched from Wednesday, January 31 to Monday, February 5, 2024. Most attacks hit postboxes around the Temple Hill neighbourhood and nearby streets, sparking community outrage.

Distinctive Clues in Suspect’s Image Could Crack Case

Inspector Siobhan Rowe of Dartford Community Safety Unit revealed police have released an image of a person of interest. Though the suspect’s face is hidden, their distinctive clothing might help locals spot them.

“Our officers have been working closely with the Royal Mail after several postboxes were covered in paint. We are now issuing an image of a person who may be able to assist with our enquiries,” said Inspector Rowe.

Police Urge Public to Check Dashcams and CCTV Footage

Authorities are calling on drivers with dashcams and residents with home CCTV to scour their footage for any suspicious activity during the incident window.
