Shooting Shocker in Plumstead: Police Hunt Witnesses
Armed officers scrambled to Lakedale Road, near Brewery Road, just before 1:10 PM today after reports of a gunshot. Police confirmed a vehicle nearby was hit by gunfire, but so far, no injuries have been reported.
No Arrests Yet as Investigation Continues
The Metropolitan Police have cordoned off the area, continuing to inspect the scene thoroughly. A spokesperson said: “Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after a shooting in Plumstead. Officers responded at around 13:07hrs on Friday, 14 June, following reports of a firearm discharge.”
They added that no victims have been identified, and no arrests have been made. The damaged vehicle has been recovered as part of ongoing inquiries.
