Young Man Assaulted in Doncaster City Centre
A 20-year-old man was threatened and punched in a brazen attack in Doncaster city centre.
Ambushed Outside M&S and Boots
At around 6.45pm on Wednesday, 1 March, the victim was walking along French Gate near Marks and Spencers and Boots when he was suddenly surrounded by a gang of eight teenage boys, aged 17 to 19.
Robbery Attempt Turns Violent
The group demanded the man empty his pockets. When he refused, they launched a physical assault before fleeing the scene.
The victim suffered facial injuries severe enough to require hospital treatment.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers investigating the incident want to hear from anyone who saw the attack or recognises those involved.
