Braintree Pub Brawl: Two Injured in Late-Night Bottle Attack
Police are hunting for witnesses after two people were hurt in a shocking attack at a Braintree pub in the early hours of Saturday, 11 July.
Woman Struck with Bottle in Swan Pub Garden
At around 12:30am, officers were called to the Swan Public House on Bank Street following reports a woman was hit on the head with a bottle in the pub’s garden area. The woman suffered a cut to her forehead and was rushed to hospital, where she received stitches.
A man who tried to help her also sustained a cut to his hand during the incident.
Suspect Description and Arrest Update
Witnesses described the attacker as a slim man, around 5’8”, wearing a bright red tracksuit and a dark baseball cap.
Police have since made an arrest. The suspect remains in custody, facing two counts of assault.
