The second victim, a 16-year-old boy, fled into a nearby shop, bleeding heavily. He remains in critical condition at hospital. His family has been informed.

Met Police Launch Murder Probe

Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command have opened an investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Darren Jones said: “We believe Sven and his friend got into a violent confrontation with a group of males. As they ran, the pair got separated. Sven fell and was attacked by several attackers. His friend managed to escape into a shop but remains critically ill.

“Our thoughts are with the families during this terrible time. We are committed to finding those responsible and will be working tirelessly to bring them to justice.”

Community Urged to Speak Up

Chief Inspector Guy Ellwood added: “This barbaric attack has shocked the community. You’ll see more police officers patrolling the area this weekend and beyond. Violence like this has no place on our streets.”

“If you witnessed anything or have dashcam footage from Willesden Lane or Kilburn High Road at the time, please come forward. Help us catch these criminals.”
