East Leake Drug Bust: Suspected Class A and B Drugs Seized
Police raided a property in East Leake and uncovered a stash of suspected Class A and Class B drugs. Officers found large amounts of cash and drug paraphernalia stashed in upstairs bedrooms.
A 25-year-old man inside the terraced house was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs. Two mobile phones seized in the raid are now being analysed as part of a detailed forensic investigation.
Community Tips Crucial in Police Operation
Inspector Rob Lawton from Nottinghamshire Police thanked local residents for their vital tips. He said:
“This intelligence-led warrant would not have been possible without information received from members of the community and should send out a very clear message.”
Lawton warned of the dangers drugs bring, including violence and antisocial behaviour. He added:
“The supply of drugs can have an utterly devastating impact on our communities… I want to encourage anyone who believes drug activity is taking place in their area or ever notices anything suspicious to please get in touch with us and report it.”
Ongoing Investigation and Call for Information
The investigation remains active, but police have hailed the operation a success for removing harmful substances from the streets. Officers urge anyone with information to come forward.
