League of Young Men Caught with Machete and Drugs Outside Club
Three men, aged 18 to 24, were stopped by police in a grey Audi A3 outside a club on Trent Street. They were spotted watching and then following passers-by in the early hours.
Section 60 Powers Put to Work After Shocking Violence
Officers, using Section 60 stop-and-search powers introduced after the murder of Cody Fisher and a recent stabbing in Handsworth, pulled over the vehicle. One occupant was found carrying a machete, and drugs were also discovered.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
Police are now calling for anyone approached on Trent Street that night or who saw anything suspicious to come forward. They stress anyone yet to speak with them should make contact.
